Marc is the Head of Global Engineering for the adidas Group serving a wide range of distribution centers worldwide. Responsibilities include strategic and tactical optimization efforts throughout the adidas/Reebok global distribution network. In addition to the recent US initiatives, he has been responsible for several distribution center fit-outs in Latin America, and several major facility retro-fits. He has also been responsible for a variety of engineered labor standard/incentive implementations. Along with his recent role, his past work experiences include tenures with USCO Logistics and Digital Equipment Corporation. Dave Malenfant brings over 25 years in Supply Chain Management. After graduation from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, he worked as Distribution Manager and Director of Materials, Canadian Operations for Wyeth Ayerst Canada. In Canada, Dave was Co-founder and President of Signature Consultants, Inc., (1973) a business,finance and economic consulting firm. Signature Consultants, Inc. was sold in 1993. Dave implemented and operated several other business initiatives that are still profitable in Canada. Dave has worked for Alcon Laboratories, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas since 1993, holding positions as Purchasing Manager, Materials Operation Manager and Director Global Supply Chain. Dave is currently Vice President Global Supply Chain. As Vice President he provides strategic direction for the company’s Global Supply Chain initiatives which includes execution of all Global Supply Chain Projects, Global Standards, sourcing physical distribution and Global Data Management. Over the years, Dave has been responsible for the implementation of over 24 different computer systems -- ERP, Finite Scheduling, Order Entry, among others. Dave is currently secretary of the Supply Chain Council and Chairman of the North American Leadership Team. As vice president and general manager of AMR Research’s Industry Value Chain Strategies Service, Roddy is responsible for managing the company’s value chain analysis and research across all industries. Roddy researches a variety of topics including systems support to operations, IT, and manufacturing strategy. Roddy was a key contributor in the development of AMR Research’s demand-driven supply chain model. His research brings together the strategic, business, and organizational issues faced when implementing IT and enterprise architectures, processes, and applications across the value chain. Roddy has over 27 years of experience, most recently as an executive at South African Breweries (SAB), one of the three largest brewers in the world. He held leadership roles in SAB's World Class Manufacturing program and the Strategic Corporate Change Management program. Prior to SAB, Roddy worked for ISCOR (Iron and Steel Manufacturers) as a technician and millwright in production operations. He also worked for G.H. Marais and Partners, an electrical and electronic engineering consulting firm. IBM, Erle A. Smith, Director of Global Footprint Optimization Erle is the Director of Global Footprint Optimization – IBM Integrated Supply Chain. His responsibility is to evaluate the current network of Supply Chain and Server/Technology Group locations and improve service to IBM Clients while improving efficiency. Prior to this assignment Erle was the Director of Supply Chain Strategy, responsible for the annual strategic planning processes, managing the IBM Supply Chain Business Transformation portfolio, optimizing processes across the Integrated Operations Team and for supporting the ISC with subject matter experts in both operations and LEAN process methodologies. Mr. Smith rejoined the IBM Supply Chain team in July of 2007 after working for Lenovo, where he was the Executive Director of Strategy for the Global Supply Chain. As Vice President of Statistical Applications, Doug helps clients understand statistical methods and implement InfinityQS software in diverse environments and challenging situations. Prior to joining InfinityQS in 1997, Doug began his statistical career on the manufacturing shop floor at Boeing Aerospace and spent several years working as a statistical consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Statistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1987. He has co-authored two books on statistical methods: Innovative Control Charting (ASQ Quality Press, 1997) and Quality Management in Health Care (Jones and Bartlett Publishing, 2000). Rick Franklin, Komyo America/Honda Logistics Rick Franklin is the Corporate Director of Operations for Komyo America, a division of Honda LTD Japan. He has more than 30 years of transportation and distribution logistics experience. At Komyo America, he directs logistics operations to support Honda America's aftermarket OEM parts distribution in three major hubs located in Ohio, Tennessee and California. These facilities comprise over 2 million sq. ft. of warehouse space. In addition, Rick is responsible for the operations of Komyo America's third-party logistics business outside of Honda in facilities in the U.S. and Mexico. Previously, Rick served as the Director of Logistics for Aaron Brothers, a division of Michael's Stores Inc.; Technicolor Entertainment Services, the distribution division for Technicolor motion picture film distribution; and Baxter Healthcare, a global provider of medical supplies. |
Brian Hatfield has 25 years of supply chain experience and has held various positions in manufacturing, distribution operations, transportation, and supply chain planning. In these roles, he has managed multiple ERP implementations, directed WMS/TMS integrations, led the transformation of multiple plants to lean manufacturing (TPS), and implemented other operational process improvements. Brian joined KPSS, Inc. in 2006 as Vice President of Supply Chain where he is responsible for enabling change management to achieve key performance targets in fill rate and inventory days on hand, internalization of warehouse and assembly operations, centralizing of back-office functions, and leading operational cost reductions. To support these goals, he has started the implementation of the pick to voice technology in his pick and pack warehouse operations (one operation completed in April 2009). Brian will lead the implementation worldwide for KPSS with operations in the US, Canada, Australia, UK, and Finland. Prior to joining KPSS, Brian worked at Reynolds Food Packaging (an Alcoa company) as the Director for Physical Distribution and Transportation, at Sealright (a Huhtamaki company) as the Supply Chain Manager, at Dial Corporation in Production Management, and operated a 3rd party warehousing company in Chicago, Illinois specializing in the chemical industry. Rebecca leads Lennox Industries’ Supply Chain Planning organization, responsible for inventory planning and management from the manufacturing plants to Lennox’s dealers. She manages both finished goods and repair / aftermarket parts and is currently working on implementing an Inventory Optimization tool to enable statistical setting of inventory stocking levels throughout the 70+ warehouse distribution network. Prior to joining Lennox, Rebecca worked for Bain & Company as a management consultant and for Dell, Inc., in the manufacturing and supply chain organizations. Ethan DeWall is currently the Director of Warehousing Operations for Martin Bros. Distributing Co. a broad line foodservice distributor, in Cedar Falls, IA. Ethan has spent the last 10 years in operations with Martin Bros. including receiving and inventory management positions. A graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration Ethan has 16 years of experience in the grocery and foodservice industries. Ethan has served as project manager on a number of initiatives at Martin Bros. including their most recent endeavor to implement engineered labor standards and labor management software into their distribution operations. Guy Yehiav brings strong leadership and innovative thinking to this executive role where he is Responsible for the Sales, Strategy and customer’s success of Oracle’s Value Chain Planning which includes – Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Trade Promotion Management, Retail Execution., Integrated Operational Planning, Downstream Data Management and the Demantra Suite of Products. Prior to this role, Guy founded Demantra US and over the last twelve years he has held multiple executive positions where he guided the Product Management and Strategy organization. He also directed the Global Professional Services group, where he recruited the internal team, managed many complex supply chain projects, created methodologies and infrastructures and helped to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction. Presently a Director of Supply Chain Operations for Pepsi Bottling Group, Shekar Natarajan is spearheading a change and transformation initiative to completely modify the company’s logistics and delivery systems. His primary responsibilities include identifying opportunities from repurposing the PBG warehouses, increasing storage and driving productivity to delivering improved returns on invested capital and reducing reliance upon direct labor. He also manages existing logistics and warehouse systems and is leading the development of new inventory management and supply chain execution systems. Earlier in his career, Shekar served as a Supply Chain Network Manager for Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated where he was responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and deploying solutions for network design and optimization, logistics optimization, distribution planning and strategic sourcing. Prior to joining CCBCC, he briefly worked at Alliance Rubber Company as a corporate development specialist. A prolific writer in the field of supply chain management, Shekar is the author of Simplified Systematic Network Planning (SSNP) and Six Steps to Systematic Network Planning, books that provide an organized and proven methodology for network planning and optimization. Translated into several languages, SSNP is used in master of industrial engineering programs and professional development courses at Georgia Tech. Shekar is currently co-writing “Planning By Design” with the legendary Richard Muther. The new book will provide which a structured methodology for planning that can be used for a wide range of industrial engineering and supply chain projects. David Dwyer has 14 years of supply chain experience and has held positions in Manufacturing Planning, Distribution Planning, Warehousing, and Transportation. Dave joined Sharp Electronics Corporation in Mahwah, NJ in July 2002 as Director of Logistics & Environmental Supply Chain Planning where he has been a leader in Supply Chain process improvement initiatives. Dave has driven systems and process development, including key business lead for SAP 5.0 implementation, inventory reduction programs, cost savings and customer service initiatives, and SOX/JSOX Logistics Compliance. Jesus has a broad experience in Supply Chain at global, regional and local levels. He joint Unilever 18 years ago where he has worked in the Home and Personal Care Division in Spain, USA and UK. Currently he is based in London (UK) and his responsibilities include the design of long term global supply chain solutions in the Personal Care Division for new and existing products. He began his career in SENER Engineering Company in Spain specialized in designing refineries and petrochemicals plants. He joint Unilever in 1991 in the Home Care Division where he had responsibilities in engineering, manufacturing, planning and logistics. At that time he implemented new FMCG production techniques and philosophies in the Unilever Detergents Factory. Anand is globally responsible for driving continuous improvement programs to UTC’s $ 30 BN global supply base.
